Hi everyone. I’m trying to figure out what yoga poses help with calming the nervous system, especially on days when my brain feels “stuck on alert.” I work at a laptop all day and by evening I’m tense, jaw tight, shoulders up, and my breathing gets shallow without me noticing.
I’m not looking for anything super athletic right now—more like poses I can do at home in the evening to shift into rest mode and maybe sleep better. I’ve tried Child’s Pose and it helps a bit, but sometimes it feels like I’m just folding and still stressed inside.
If you have a short routine (even 10–15 minutes) or specific poses + breathing tips that actually calm you down, I’d love suggestions. Also: is it normal to feel emotional or restless when you finally slow down? Thanks.
