Hi everyone. I’ve been dealing with sudden anxiety spikes lately (tight chest, racing thoughts, and that “I can’t settle” feeling). I’m not trying to “cure” anything with yoga, but I’m looking for yoga poses that help calm anxiety fast in the moment—like something I can do at home in 5–10 minutes when it hits.
I’m a beginner, not very flexible, and sometimes fast flows make me feel more panicky. I’m okay with gentle poses and breathing. What poses (and what breathing) actually help you feel calmer quickly? And any little tips like lighting, timing, or what to avoid would be appreciated. If it matters: I work at a laptop all day and my neck/shoulders get super tense.
(And yes, I’m also considering talking to a professional—just looking for supportive practices too.)
