I keep seeing the phrase “yoga embodiment meditation” in classes and on apps, but I’m not 100% sure what it actually means. Is it just mindfulness while doing yoga, or is it a specific meditation you do sitting down?
Context: I do gentle vinyasa 2–3x/week and I’m trying to feel less “in my head” after work (lots of screen time, anxiety-ish spirals). When a teacher says “embody the pose” I kinda get it, but then sometimes they cue meditation and it feels different than a normal breath focus.
If anyone can explain what yoga embodiment meditation is in simple terms (and maybe how to start practicing it without overthinking), I’d really appreciate it.
