I keep seeing the phrase “yoga embodiment flow” in class descriptions and on YouTube, but I’m not sure what it actually means.
For context: I’ve done some vinyasa and a little yin. When teachers say “embody the pose” or “move from your center,” I kind of understand, but it still feels abstract. Is embodiment flow just a slow vinyasa? Or is it more like somatic work, breathwork, or something spiritual?
If anyone can explain what yoga embodiment flow is in simple terms (and what a class usually feels like), I’d really appreciate it. Also: any tips for someone who tends to get stuck “in their head” during practice?
