Hi everyone 💜 I keep seeing the term “therapeutic yoga” and I’m a bit confused about what it actually means. Is it just gentle yoga, or is it like a medical thing?
For context: I’ve been dealing with on-and-off neck/shoulder tension from working at a laptop all day, plus I get anxious and hold my breath without noticing. I’m not looking for a miracle cure, just something that feels safer and more tailored than a fast vinyasa class.
If you’ve tried therapeutic yoga, what happens in a session? Is it mostly stretching, breathing, meditation, or is it more like physical therapy? And how do you find a legit teacher? I’d love a simple explanation in normal-people language 😅
