Hi everyone 💜 I’m trying to pick a class at my local studio and I keep seeing “Hatha” and “Yin” on the schedule. I’ve done a few random YouTube sessions but I still don’t really understand the difference.
For context: I sit at a desk all day, my hips and hamstrings feel tight, and my stress level is… not great. I’m not looking for a super sweaty workout, but I also don’t want to fall asleep on the mat. 😅
Can someone explain in simple terms what makes hatha yoga different from yin yoga (pace, poses, breathing, what it’s good for)? And if you’ve tried both, how did you decide which one to do more often?
