Hi everyone 🌿 I’m pretty new to yoga and I keep seeing people bring yoga blocks to class, but I’m not totally sure what they’re actually for. I always thought blocks were just for people who can’t touch the floor, but then I’ve seen super flexible folks using them too.
At home I’m trying to follow YouTube flows and I struggle in poses like triangle, half moon, and even some seated forward folds. I also get wrist fatigue in down dog sometimes. Are blocks mainly for flexibility, or do they help with alignment too? And is cork vs foam a big deal?
Basically: what are yoga blocks used for, how do you use them without feeling like you’re “cheating,” and which poses are most worth trying them in? Thanks 💜
