Hi everyone 🌿 I’m 29 and I found out as a teen that I have mild scoliosis (S-shaped, nothing surgical, but it does flare up). I work at a laptop all day and lately my lower back and one shoulder get tight, especially after stress. I’m thinking about starting yoga (either a studio class or YouTube at home) but I’m not sure if it actually helps scoliosis or if it can make it worse.
I’m not trying to “fix” my spine, I just want less pain, better posture, and maybe more body awareness. Are there specific types of yoga that are better (hatha, yin, vinyasa)? Any poses you’d avoid or modify? And should I talk to a physio first?
Would love to hear real experiences—thank you 💜
