Hi everyone, I’m new here. I’ve been having anxiety attacks on and off for the last months (tight chest, racing thoughts, tingling hands, sometimes I feel like I can’t breathe). I’m already trying to figure things out with my doctor, but I also want something I can do day-to-day that doesn’t feel overwhelming.
I keep seeing people say yoga helps with anxiety, but I don’t know if they mean general stress or actual anxiety attacks. Can yoga really help in the moment, or is it more like a long-term thing? If yes, what kind of yoga is best (gentle, yin, hatha?) and are there any breathing exercises that are safe for beginners? I’m a bit scared of doing something that makes me feel more dizzy.
Any personal experiences would mean a lot. I’m looking for realistic advice, not “just breathe and it’s cured” stuff.
